"Live in Summer 1976"
4 sides of big arena lo-fi fan recordings in an envelope marked “recorded by Dave Aronson Summer 1976” likely taped locally at Olympia Stadium. Sounds a bit blown out and far away.
But please don’t expect anything close to a professional capture - this is raw and as if someone snuck a tape recorder in their coat to hear “Jet” and all the favorites of the time. It’s hard to decipher what’s going on in some segments.
Acetates cut at the legendary United Sound Studio in Detroit.
Acetates are in great shape, looks like it has seen very little play. They would have been VG+ or better except for some rub from the string tie clasps which don’t affect the sound. Sound quality on both is already TERRIBLE, you can make out the tracks and it's fun enough to hear but this is about as far from an audiophile recording as you can get.
Original United Sound sleeve is in fairly nice shape, some wear on edges, original string closure is still intact. Please see pictures!
