Description
Prestige 7085, "When Farmer Met Gryce" from 1957 with Art Farmer, Gigi Gryce, Horace Silver, Percy Heath, Kenny Clarke, Freddie Redd, Addison Farmer, and Art Taylor. Original W. 50th St. vinyl plays at about VG+. There is very little background noise on most of the vinyl, but there are audible light ticks on enough of the record to call this only VG+, though they are easy to ignore. Heavy laminated jacket has generally strong seams, but there are several inches of wear along top right which caused about an inch of splitting at the open end; there is considerable corner wear (see scan); jacket back is strongly age-toned (see scan); there are no bends or writing. Tracks are "A Night at Tony's", "Blue Concept", "Stupendous-lee", "Deltitnu", "Social Call", Capri", "Blue Lights", and "The Infant's Song". One of the great bop-era albums. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $16.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
