WHEATON TRI-PLANAR Tone Arm. Prototype?
The design is clearly that of the Wheaton Tri-Planar Tone Arm. In detail, it does not seem to match any issued version of it. For one thing, there is no product name on it. I never attempted to use it.
I am a dealer in old recordings. I operated a store in the Wheaton Triangle, a shopping center in Maryland. Mr. Papier lived in the neighborhood. On occasion, we would sit together at a local lunch counter and chat. I no longer recall any details of our conversations but am sure nothing of interest to researchers was said. When he died, I bought some stuff from his family among which was this item. It's all I have left from this source.
Cartridge stylus is lacking.
