WHAM! -- Superb 12" Record With Hand SIGNED Sleeve - Their 1983 Debut Album 'FANTASTIC.'

Wham! were an English musical duo formed by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley in the early 1980s. On offer is a 12" UK LP album (IVL25328,) released in 1983 by INNERVISION Records, distributed by CBS. It is hand SIGNED on the sleeve by 'Andrew Ridgeley' and 'George Michael.' Record & sleeve in FINE condition, very slight tanning on sleeve.

There are four songs on each side of the LP and four of these charted in the UK - Young Guns, no. 3; Wham Rap, no. 8; Bad Boy, no. 2 and Club Tropicana, no. 4. With one exception, George Michael wrote or co-wrote & produced all the songs, with Ridgeley co-writer on two.

The record is a promotional copy and is stamped in gold on the back of the sleeve 'Property of CBS. Demonstration Only. NOT FOR SALE' and is considered to be a first pressing. The record was signed for a BBC record producer when it was first released. Stamped/scratched on the runout on side 1 is the matrix number 'IVL A1 25328.' (The incorrect number 25238 has been scratched out.) On side 2 the number 'IVL-25328-B2' is scratched. Hand scratched also on the runout is 'ARUN' on side 1 and 'TIMTOM-CBS' on side 2. There do not appear to be any stampers.

The record reached number 1 on the UK charts (3X Platinum) and charted in several other countries. WHAM! split amicably in 1986 and George Michael went on to a highly successful solo career.
