Description
I recently bought the record collection of an ex-employee of Citadel Records (both the distribution company and the label itself), and the person had TEST PRESSINGS of many of the releases they'd been involved in. As the person who ordered the test pressings in the first place, they had a great idea of quantities pressed (we love that!).
Here below then, is one of them:
ARTIST: WET TAXIS -
TITLES: "SAILOR'S DREAM" / "AMBULANCE RIDE"
FORMAT: …vinyl 7" single TEST PRESSING… LABEL: (CITADEL) .
CAT. #: (CIT-028) .
DATE: 1987 .
PRESSED IN: AUSTRALIA .
Comes in plain white die-cut paper sleeve. Record has plain white labels with only the band name handwritten on 'A' side.
This was cut by highly revered cutting engineer Leon Zervos at Festival Reccords' cutting room, in Pyrmont, Sydney. There were 6 test pressings of this 45 made.
CONDITION:
COVER / RECORD: ( - / M- )...
LABELS: ( Side One: EX / Side Two: EX )...the light stains on each label are identical and were in fact on several more different test pressings - they were simply a flaw in the paper used...see pix...
