This copy comes from the Pathé plant in Chatou, France.
Which you can see from the 'M3' number in the run-out area.
The plant was closed in 1955 and finally destroyed in 1994.
I have no titles for this disc, but I have others by Boubakar Diabaté
in the 'La Voix de Son Maître' KIP series, like KIP 74 and others with
similar OLK matrices. I am pretty certain that it is him.
Boubakar Diabaté was born in 1926 in Sénégal into a Mandinka family that
originated from Mali. In fact, his early music is more typical of Mali than Sénégal.
He died in Montréal, Canada, in 2006.
Here, Al-Hadj Boubakar fusions his kora with some type of electronic concertina.
Otherwise: woodblocks, bass - and solo vocals.
