German producer Sven Weisemann is a hard man to pin down, having previously turned his optimistic gaze to dub techno, ambient, experimental electronica, deep house and tougher dancefloor grooves. "Falling Leaves" sees him in a particularly picturesque mood, delivering an undeniably attractive slice of deep downtempo jazz smothered in beautiful piano motifs, dubbed-out trumpet solos, gentle cymbals and heady strings. It's definitely heart-felt, and could be among his most stunning compositions to date. Gigi Masin remixes, turning the intricate but sparse original into a warm chunk of wide-eyed ambience built around drone production values and dreamy electronic textures.
