Description

Truly unique WEA International Promo 222 record from 1978 featuring tracks from Van Halen (before they hit it big), AC/DC, Foreigner, Joe Walsh, Warren Zevon, Elvis Costello. You will not find this anywhere else.

This is a stunning looking record that you have to see to believe. It is that transparent yellow color with specks of other colors throughout, mostly red and green.

Notice on the record label the Van Halen name appears like "van Halen" (lower case "v") Also, on the back of the cover, there word "stuff" is misspelled as "stiff" so it says "Van Halen live by their own rules...shake it up, strut your stiff"

I have tried for years to get an answer on what the story is on the record. It hasn't been easy. The best guess one expert had was that it is from South Africa because the duo of "Finch and Henson" was from there. But that's just a guess. What's weird is that this isn't on any collection of WEA promo albums...at least none that I've been able to find. I'm sure an expert will know where to go for more details about this record.
