Description
ORIGINAL BLUE NOTE VINYL!
Seldom seen in UK auctions is a FIRST STEREO PRESSING of Wayne Shorter The All Seeing Eye (Blue Note BST 84219). The vinyl is also in fantastic condition with in-the-room audio - you will struggle to find a more pristine listening copy of this album out there after 57 years! I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading is based on how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks.
Vinyl is Excellent - still retains surface gloss, and plays quietly throughout, which is really important for an album like this with lots of quieter phases. 'VAN GELDER' stamp present in the deadwax. Labels are NY USA, indicating the first Stereo pressing - this is essentially an original Blue Note but for the absence of the Plastylite 'ear'. The labels are pristine with no spindle marks. Cover has very slight ringwear on the back cover, and 1in of unobtrusive writing (dated '67) in the bottom right corner, so strictly graded Very Good +, but is otherwise in excellent condition.
Original 1966 '27 Years Blue Note' inner has 4in of clear tape along the central part of the base.

Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
All items are play-tested throughout, and I strive to be comprehensive and fair in grading descriptions. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to help.
