Description

PART OF A LARGE SELECTION OF ORIGINAL BLUE NOTE LP'S BEING AUCTIONED THIS MONTH. Classic mid-60's Shorter session ft: Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter & Elvin Jones. One of the best jazz albums ever. WITCH HUNT-FEE-FI-FO-FUM-DANCE CADAVEROUS-SPEAK NO EVIL-INFANT EYES-WILD FLOWER Vinyl: VG++ (has a very faint trail across tracks 2 and 3 on side 2 but play is NOT significantly impacted (see below). This is a superb pressing and sounds amazing.) Sleeve: NM - no exaggeration to say this is as good as the day it was issued. Absolutely incredible condition (all my records are kept in protective plastic sleeves) ORIG 1965 BLUE NOTE - NY ADDRESS LABELS - MICROGROOVE EDITION VAN GELDER & EAR LOGO STAMP IN DEADWAX. ORIGINAL BLUE NOTE INNER SLEEVE. SIMPLY AMAZING COPY! CHECK OUT THE OTHER AUCTIONS FOR SOME HEAVYWEIGHT RARITIES THIS MONTH. (PHOTO'S TAKEN IN ANGLED LIGHT SO PLS IGNORE LIGHT SHADING ON TOP OF SOME ALBUM PICS - ITS JUST LIGHT REFLECTING OFF SLEEVE). *OK - quite a few have asked for more details regarding the light scuffs on this album. Firstly there is only 1 mark on Side 2 - the mark on Side 1 is absolutely the lightest surface mark and not really worthy of mention. I have just played the album through and the only time there is any noticeble intrusive noise is during the fade out of Speak No Evil as it goes to silence and the quiet ballad Infant Eyes. The noises are just QUIET tics - they are throughout the track but are not the loud pops nor are they regular continuous clicks you get with scratches - just light, subtle low level brief tics now and again. They are so low level that they are not audible on Wild Flower. The scuff is more like a thin straight trail around 2mm wide. Probably a light finger nail scrape.
