WAYLON JENNINGS - Waylon Jennings At JD'S - Sounds LTD-1001 mono - 1964 - NM+ Condition
This extremely Rare mono Lp was recorded in the studios of Audio Recorders in Phoenix Arizona in December of 1964, it was not recorded or released in stereo. It was originally issued on BAT(Bat-1001) Records in 1964 with approximately 500 copies released. Later that month they issued it again on Sounds Ltd. label with approximately 500 copies released. I have had this copy in my collection for over 40 years and feel confident that is not a bootleg, but some do exist. I have only played this album once to record it to tape and once for this review, otherwise I feel that it is new. The writing in the trail-off deadwax is: JD 1001 S1 and JD 1001 B2.
The vinyl is as glossy as new with absolutely no visible groove wear and it has NM+ high fidelity. There are absolutely no visible or audible defects on either side, it looks, plays, and sounds like new! The orange labels and original white inner sleeve are NM+ with no wear, holes, stamps, stickers, or writing. The cover is NM-/NM with very obscure age discoloration on the front, the seams and spine are fully intact and in excellent condition, and no wear, holes, stamps, stickers, or writing, Note:The spot on the left bottom corner of both cover photos is glare and not on the cover.
The 2013 Goldmine price guide values it at $500 in NM condition.
