The Washington Apple - Fresh Country Apples

Mega-Rare Authentic Original 1970 US Private Press LP on Delicious Records (to our knowledge this is the only release on this label)

Quite the strange little piece of obscure psych here. Side 1 consists of songs, both originals and covers, that the band recorded for use in Washington apple commercials. According to the sleeve local response was quite positive to the music in the ads, and the band was thus motivated to record a full-length album. Side 2 consists of four non-apple songs (three of which are original, the other a bluesy rendition of a Gershwin tune). Definitely one the few you'll ever see, as it probably received only local distribution in Washington state. We're not quite sure how it made it all the way to Jersey!

Label/Catalog: Delicious Records / S-2429

Jacket Grade: EX - Still in the original shrink wrap! As you can see, a few sections of the shrink are missing, resulting in some very minor wear to the exposed areas.

Disc Grade: VG+ - Both sides are extremely glossy and gorgeous! There is one long scratch on Side 1, but it is light, totally unfeelable, completely inaudible, and only evident at certain viewing angles. It's more of a streak than a scratch. Side 2 is an easy Near Mint.
