Unofficial 3 track EP with fold out poster - ORIGINAL - Inside The Line / Gutz / At A Later Date.
A very, very rare, sought after and valuable item for those in the know and a must have for any Warsaw / Joy Division / New Order collector. It was released May 18th, 1981, on the first anniversary of Ian Curtis' death and although strictly an unofficial release, the remainder of the band and their management gave it their blessing with their desire to let the public know what they sounded like as Warsaw, before they changed their name to Joy Division and royalties were paid to the remaining members of the band (after a fashion as I understand it). Mimicking the open out poster form of the first Joy Division release, An Ideal For Living from 1978, it's on the Enigma label with the catalogue number PSS138 (one before the PSS139 on An Ideal For Living as if to give it a chronological release feel) and was limited to only 2,000 copies. The tracks are taken from the 18th July, 1977 Warsaw sessions, a year after the Sex Pistols gig that changed the world at Manchester's Lesser Free Trade Hall which Barnie and Hookey attended (half the country would later swear they were there) and it was the catalyst for them forming Warsaw. It's causing real heartache to let this one go but it's time.
It's time to clear out the vinyl as it doesn't get played anymore - I started collecting back in the Punk era and there are some real gems, early releases, unofficial and autographed items that'll surprise you and help complete your collection so keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks and months.
