Description

Original pressing from 1987, I am the sole owner.  Record, visually examined under bright light. No scuffs or scratches seen. My initials were written on some of the labels. I have issues with reflections sometimes taking pictures of the vinyl.  There is nothing wrong with the record it’s the environment of the camera.

This vinyl record is a must-have for any music lover's collection. Featuring the talented Warren Zevon, this first edition LP titled "Sentimental Hygiene" is a true gem from the 1980s. The 12" record boasts a full-range fidelity level and a speed of 33 RPM, making it a perfect addition to any stereo setup. The cardboard sleeve and original cover add to the overall value of this vinyl record. The record grading and sleeve grading are both near mint, ensuring a high-quality listening experience. With a catalog number of 7 90603-1, this record is a rare find for any fan of rock, acoustic, or rock 'n' roll music.

Sentimental Hygiene is the sixth studio album by rock singer-songwriter Warren Zevonand his first "sober" one. The album was released on August 29, 1987, by Virgin Records. The release of Sentimental Hygiene marked the first studio album for Zevon in five years. It produced the single "Reconsider Me", as well as the dance single "Leave My Monkey Alone". The band on the album includes guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills and drummer Bill Berry (all of R.E.M.), who also recorded an album of covers with Zevon (under the name “Hindu Love Gods”) at this time.

"Even a Dog Can Shake Hands" was used as the opening theme music for the short-lived Fox comedy series Action. The song was co-written by Buck, Berry and Mills. Michael Stipe, lead singer of R.E.M., appears on the song "Bad Karma". The album also features contributions by Bob Dylan, playing harmonica on “The Factory”, and Neil Young playing lead guitar on “Sentimental Hygiene”.

The song "Boom Boom Mancini" was inspired by boxer Ray Mancini and his contest against Bobby Chacon.

Mint (M) – Absolutely perfect in every way. Never been played and usually sealed.

Near Mint (NM) – The record has been on a shelf between other records. The vinyl looks glossy and clearly has only been played a few times. There are no marks on the vinyl and the whole package is complete.

Excellent (E) – Same but I’d tolerate very light marks where the vinyl has been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times, or tiny signs of use generally.

Very Good Plus (VG+) – A few further faults are acceptable, but nothing that really compromises the record visually or audibly. A little rub, light inaudible marks, a little background crackle.

Very Good (VG) – It’s seen a bit of life, but is still usable. Light pops and clicks, an edge split, light visible scratches. You can still listen to it and enjoy looking at it, but it is visually and audibly USED.

Good (G) – To be honest you’re making trouble for yourself here, as Good means Bad. I’d only be selling something really desirable in this condition, with a bargain price and a full, no holds barred description to match.

Poor (P), Fair (F) Attempting to listen will be a disturbing experience. Expect major noise issues, skipping or repeating. The record itself is cracked, badly warped and has deep scratches. The cover is also approaching death.
