ORIGINAL UK LP IN EXCELLENT TO NEAR MINT CONDITION

the record is close to near mint with only minimal light surface hairlines and one or two paper scuffs visible under 500 watts of light - labels clean, bright and sharp - gatefold cover in very near mint condition just a tiny and neat name label to the lower right inside corner (easily removable with care) and a small tear near the lower left outside rear corner - very nice spine, sharp corners and opening edges, tight seams, no circular wear, writing, stains or creases - this LP was the first release for yet another UK Philips progressive offshoot - the highly intriguing Trend label seemed to hold a promise of further interesting bands and freaky cover designs to come - the spine details were printed exactly like the legendary Vertigo series (in keeping with most other releases by the Philips group of companies) ■ TREND ■ WARM DUST ■ PEACE FOR OUR TIME ■ (for those of you fanatical enough to care about such things) using traditional Philips numbering prefixes as well as the boxed SBL PRICE CODE logo - this release also mysteriously carried a secondary designation TNLS 6001 STEREO alongside the TREND logo on the top left rear sleeve - UK original pressings seem a little harder to find than the US UNI label counterpart and have become quite rare in recent years - this record offers some often-overlooked progressive brilliance from a band who could have been at the very forefront of the scene - an effective and evocative concept album with the horrors of war as its overriding theme - the quotations used for the spoken introductory links are taken from Timothy Leary’s ‘Politics Of Ecstasy ’ - a great, collectable UK LP - NO RESERVE
