Description

For auction is WALT DICKERSON's "A Sense Of Direction" on New Jazz NJ 8268, MONO, DG, RVG, 1961.


SOUND: VG+ or better

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, a brilliant playback! There is very faint, minor surface noise at times, but nothing very much. There are a few minor tics heard in B1, "Good Earth." That's about all... Extremely enjoyable!


VINYL: NM-

Visually, the vinyl is beautiful! The record is glossy and clean. I found no marks or scuffs of any significance. The labels are purple New Jazz with deep-grooves, in great shape. RVG stamped in dead wax.


JACKET: VG+

The jacket is great! Edges and spine are solid with very minimal wear. The corners too, are nice, with minor wear. The textured front cover is clean and unmarked, with routine aging. The back cover has a name written in pen, as well as a "promo" stamp, but otherwise fairly clean and very good condition.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. 


Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.  


If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
