Description
I am going to be selling several records from my private collection . I have not sold anything through ebay in a couple of years , but my feedback from selling before was 100% positive .
I normally only auction NM records but this one is an exception . Please read the description .
This auction is for the Legendary Bayreuth 1951 rehearsal recording. Wilhelm Furtwängler conducting choir and orchestra Bayreuth Festspiele, Beethoven symphony no.9. With Schwarzkopf, Hongen, Hopf,Edelmann.
German HMV Electrola WALP 1286/7 flat edge pressing:(WALP 1286: 2XRA 16-4 /2XRA 17-2 WALP 1287:2XRA 18-5/2XRA 19-6).Original stitched innersleeves,complete with grey booklet in German . There is applause at the end of side 4.
Goldlettered linenbox Vg+ no broken corners but the hinge has some cracks beginning top and bottom . There are some small scuffs along the edge and corners .
Sides 2 and 4 are NM and play beautifully < Sides 1 and 3 each have audible needle drop marks at the beginning of the side . I had a friend of mine make a recording of the problem areas so that you can hear just what these marks sound like when played on the appropriate equipment .

These days is should be easy to clean up the problem areas in less than an hours time , to have a high resolution digital master
The set will be shipped in a well padded box . The cost of shipping will depend on the location of the buyer . Insurance is mandatory at the buyers expense . Shipping to Italy is at the buyers risk .
