Description
This great item is the vintage classical vinyl two record box set 'Wagner: Die Walkure - Act 3' performed by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Georg Solti. It was released on the Decca label with the catalogue number SXL 2011-2 and with the sought-after 'Wide Band' label it is an original pressing dating from the Fifties. It is in, as can be seen, fantastic condition, looking as if carefully and rarely played and well stored. For a detailed description:
- Box - bright and glossy. Slight wear to edges and corners.
- Insert - always a good indicator of how well an item has been cared for. It is bright, clean and free from creasing.
- Records - visually inspected under a bright light I can see nothing - scratches or marks - that would affect the playing or sound quality.
This is the second wave of records I am selling from a superlative collection - the previous ones I listed sold well to some very exacting, fastidious buyers who were prepared to pay well for them, were very happy with their purchases, the packing and dispatch time, and many of whom left feedback attesting to this.
In fantastic condition, and with the superior sound quality of an original pressing, this would be a splendid addition to any collection of vintage classical records.
