RICHARD WAGNER "DIE WALKURE" (THE VALKYRIE) OPERA 5-LP BOX SET
RARE CLASSICAL RECORDS - HIS MASTER'S VOICE RECORDS - HMV ALP1257, ALP1258, ALP1259, ALP1260, ALP1261
This week we are auctioning a nice collection of rare classical records on behalf of one of our customers. Please check out our other items if you are interested to see what else is available. Postage will be combined and reduced where possible if you win multiple records (more difficult for international bidders but we will do our best).
All records are appropriately packed and shipped in custom cardboard shipping covers to ensure safe transit.

Artist : Richard Wagner (Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler). Features Martha Modl, Ludwig Suthaus, Leonie Rysanek, Ferdinand Frantz, Gottlob Frick and Margaret Klose.
Record Type : 12" 5-LP box set, 33rpm
Record Label : His Master's Voice HMV ALP 1257, 1258, 1259, 1260, 1261 (Red/Gold labels)
Record Condition : EXCELLENT THROUGHOUT
Sleeve / Box Condition : VERY GOOD / EXCELLENT (undamaged original inner sleeves), includes two booklets with story of the opera and words in German and English.
Comments :
Very rare classical box set. Conducted by the famous German conductor Wilhelm Furtwangler, widely considered one of the greatest conductors of the 20th Century (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_Furtw%C3%A4ngler). This was his LAST recording (1954) so of special interest for that reason alone.
