Below is my original listing for several of these albums which I have sold over the last few years. Roger has uncovered another album and I must say it is even better looking than all of the previous ones offered on ebay. The scan is not of this particular album but is a stock scan from the last sale. It looks identical to this and you will receive everything as described below
This is an original recording of the ultra-rare, private pressing of the psych-folk-rock band Virgil Caine. This album is SEALED and is sold AS IS. No assessment of condition of the album can be made since it is SEALED and never been opened. The value of this record stems from still being SEALED and UNPLAYED for over 40 years.
Virgil Caine was a trio of musicians from the central mountain region of Virginia. It consisted of M. Campbell, L. Janney and R. Mannon. They played local clubs for several years and were fairly well known in the region. This is their one and only album. This was a commissioned album by the band and only 1000 copies were made. There are only a handful that are still out there and very, very few still sealed.
This copy is owned by one of the original band members, Roger Mannon, who is a good friend of mine and has given me much of the information concerning the band and the recording. He has recently made arrangements for a reissue of the album and there are many of these available on ebay and elsewhere. This is NOT A REISSUE. This is an ORIGINAL recording.
