Violent Femmes ORIG OZ ST LP EX ’83 Big Time BT7017Post Punk Alt Rock
Original OZ LP released in 1983 on Big Time Records. Cat: BT7017.One of the most distinctive records of the early alternative movement and an enduring cult classic, Violent Femmes weds the geeky, child-man persona of Jonathan Richman and the tense, jittery, hyperactive feel of new wave in an unlikely context: raw, amateurish acoustic folk-rock. The music also owes something to the Modern Lovers' minimalism, but powered by Brian Ritchie's busy acoustic bass riffing and the urgency and wild abandon of punk rock, the Femmes forged a sound all their own.

There are a few light spindle marks on labels and also a few light age spots. Record has a few light scuff marks and is in Excellent condition. Cover has light marks and is in Excellent condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brYoshikazu own paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
