Viola Crayola "Music: Breathing of Statues" (74, Fautna no#) cover is Vg with a ding and some fraying to the top seam, light water staining on back cover, back cover is wrinkled but looks like it is as much because of a sloppy glue job as much as from water. spine frayed or flaked 1 inch at top and bottom. sounds worse than it is front cover is nice Vg+ to Ex so put the thing in a plastic sleeve and no worries. vinyl is gorgeous Near Mint. From San Antonio, about an hour away from me, but this one is rare as hen's teeth. 500 pressed and this only the third I've found in the wild in the last fifteen years.
As to the music well, I'm not one to hype but I gave it a * in my book which is shorthand for MONSTER! avant garde wyld progressive hard guitar jamming reminds me a lot of Zappa when he let loose. Top ten for Texas micropress lps and equal appeal to heavy guitar and avant prog collectors...
Astral Dream says 310 euros for a M-/M- copy. This one is M- in the half that matters! so feel free to bid like you're Italian...
[ Wild progressive instrumental power trio sounds, recorded in New York, although the group originally camr from San Antonio, Texas. A real killer in style, this album is going to be outside the realm of this book for some, and yet some dealers describe it as psychedelic, so go figure. A good record is a good record, and this one is recommended!
The band ceased recording after Tony (Anthony) Viola was tragically killed in an auto-train wreck in August 1974.
