Description
Island records double album sampler from 1971 when their roster included some of the coolest acts of the time. Includes tracks by Sandy Denny, Traffic, Jethro Tull, Fairport Convention, Jimmy Cliff, ELP, Nick Drake, etc.....
The two discs are in excellent condition with no visible surface scratches and no deterioration in audio quality. The sleeve design was not great as it included a clear plastic inner sleeve with foam edges attached to the gatefold card. The foam was supposed to clean the disc as it was taken out from the sleeve. Unfortunately the inner sleeve has detached from the main card and the foam has perished after 50 years of being in my collection.
The outer sleeve has a stock number dymo'd in the top left corner of the front.
This album is a great reminder of the range of talent on the Island label at the turn of the 70s.
