Description

Up for auction is this demo copy of Wings (McCartney) Daytime Nightime Suffering / Goodnight Tonight without the original sleeve. It will be provided with a new card sleeve.
I will try to describe the item to the best of my abilities but please be aware that I am not a dealer and therefore will not be able to properly grade the item. I will, however, give what I believe to be my best opinion based on previous experience. Plus I will add what I believe to be the closest grade at the bottom of this page according to Goldmine.
Firstly the vinyl has not been professionally cleaned. It has only had the surface dirt removed with pressurized air but it would probably benefit from a deep clean.
Please note, the photos I have taken do not get the true condition as I was having a bit of trouble with lighting and focus. Both sides of the record are in amazing condition without any marks that I can see. There is also a matrix engraving that reads 'Hello Tom 1979'.
I dare not play the record as it looks as though it may have never been played. I don't want to test it on my inferior system in case I do any damage.
I hope the information I have provided is sufficient but please feel free to contact me should you require any additional information.
I am going to grade this item as VG+. I would say it's going on for NM but I am going to stick with VG+ just in case I have overlooked anything.
A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Defects should be more of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback as a whole. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK". The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. Spindle marks may be present. Picture sleeves and inner sleeves will have some slight wear, slightly turned-up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear, and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation, or cut corner. In general, if not for a couple of minor things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint.
A NM- record has more than likely never been played, and the vinyl will play perfectly, with no imperfections during playback. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this implying (perhaps correctly) that no record is ever truly perfect. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. A 45 RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as any sign of slight handling. An LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes, or other noticeable similar defects. The same should be true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, etc.

The item will be sent 1st class signed for via royal mail. Returns accepted with valid reasoning (i.e Grading is not agreed by both partys)
Thanks for looking and good luck.
I will be listing a few more demo records from George Harrison, Rod Stewart, The Who, John Lennon, The Rolling Stones and a few others so please check out my other items if any of these interest you.
