Vinyl 12" LP - OCEAN COLOUR SCENE Moseley Shoals - MCA 60008 1996 - Seminal, breakthrough record by the iconic British mod group
SUPER RARE and desirable vinyl, this is the original pressing from 1996 on MCA records, very difficult and rare to source as it was pressed in such minuscule quantities. Your chance to own a piece of music history!
Double vinyl, with each side playing at 45rpm. Includes such genre-defining tracks: The Riverboat Song, The Day We Caught the Train, 40 Past Midnight and You’ve Got it Bad. The Modfather himself, Paul Weller also makes a special guest appearance on several tracks.
Condition:
Sleeve: VG. Structurally intact, the front, back and gatefold are glossy and look great. There is some creasing, bumps and rubbing to the edges of the sleeve and the spine has damage towards the bottom (please see pictures). I hope to give as much detailed info here so you will be confident in what you are getting. As a record collector myself, I know how important this is! Were it not for the spine damage, the sleeve would rate EX-
Intact, original hype sticker on top left hand side, and both printed inner sleeves I would rate as EX-. They are really well cared for, with minimal wear.
Vinyl: the album is a double, and I’d rate both records as VG as a cautious grading. There are extensive visual scuffs and surface scratches on both records, but I’ve play tested the album on my Project turntable and it sounds INCREDIBLE- punchy and full and vibrant. There is no detectable crackling, no skips or surface noise. All 4 sides play beautifully.
I don’t need to tell you rare this record is, and how infrequently it comes up on eBay!
