Vintage Vinyl Record Album LP 1973 Neil Young "Last Album" TAKRL 1917 (Bootleg)
I am selling my late husband's record collection. He collected in the late 1960s through 1990 or so. Most of his records were purchased new, lovingly handled and seldom played. When played it was on a Thorens turntable with a Shure cartridge with very light tracking. Some were purchased used from reliable used record stores and were checked out visually before their purchase.
I am an experienced seller here on ebay (antiques and collectibles) but not a music expert. I won't presume to know everything but feel free to ask questions. I am just trying not to hoard these- he died 13 years ago. I no longer have a turntable to play them to check for damage but will describe any surface issues I find. There are about 1000 albums in the collection and I am selling the best on ebay, all with a 4.99 opening bid. Relists will be offered with a fixed price of 5.00. Albums have been stored in climate controlled situation since purchased.
This album is a live recording, recorded in Bakersfield, California on Young's 1973 American Tour. You can find out more about this by googling the catalog number. The cover is plain and was sold with a printed paper sheet in lieu of cover art. I have included a picture of the printed paper sheet. There is no information on this sheet. The vinyl has some graphics on the sticker- looks like R. Crumb artwork. The only information on the stickers is the catalog number. The rest of what I've been able to put here for description comes from a google search. This was played very seldom, purchased for the fact that it was rare and my husband liked to own "all" of favorite artists and Neil Young was definately one of his favorites.
Even though I am starting this at my regular 4.99 opening bid, Discogs lists this with a lowest range price of 50.00.

SAD CAT STORY -We went on vacation and left our pets, a cat and a dog, in our home with a co-worker of my husband's who we left in charge of their care. He ate our food, dirtied up the house in general and somewhere in the mix forgot we even had a cat. We were gone a week and she was locked in a bedroom for about five days. During that time she took out her frustration on the record albums- only ruined the spines and amazingly, no damage occured to the vinyl from her efforts. My husband really loved the cat and thus forgave her. The co-worker? Not so much...
