Vintage Reader's Digest "All Time Broadway Hit Parade - The 120 Greatest Songs" 1966 10 LP box set, extra bonus LP, booklet and catalog included.
Includes music from Carousel, Guys and Dolls, The Music Man, My Fair Lady, Hello Dolly, Kiss Me Kate, South Pacific, Kismet, Oklahoma, Pal Joey, The King and I, Camelot, Gypsy, The Pajama Game, West Side Story, Anything Goes, Fiddler on the Roof, Funny Girl, Showboat, Babes In Arms, Damn Yankees, Brigadoon, Finnian's Rainbow, and The Fantasticks. Also has songs from many lesser know musicals such as Bells Are Ringing, Yankee Doodle Dandy, The Girl from Utah, Garrick Gaieties, Best Foot Forward, Summer Stock, Band Wagon, A Connecticut Yankee, Bye Bye Birdie, Oh Kay, The Boys From Syracuse, No No Nanette, and many others.
My mother purchased several of these boxed sets in the 60's and 70's and doesn't recall ever actually listening to them. They do not appear to have been played or even removed from the sleeves, until I did that just for pictures. I don't have a turntable so they have not been tested, but I honestly believe they have simply been sitting on a shelf since she bought them.
