Description
"It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown: Original Soundtrack Recording" vinyl record released on Craft Recordings CR00565 in 2022. This is the "Pumpkin Patch" splatter colored vinyl pressing, that was limited to 500 copies and sold out almost immediately.
Previously thought to be lost to time, this album contains remasters from the original session reels for "It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". What you will hear on this new and improved “best” version of the soundtrack are the musical cues as recorded by Vince and crew before they were edited for the television special, in show order, as well as a selection of alternate takes. Mastered at 45 RPM for optimum sound with new expanded liner notes.
NOTE: this is not to be confused with the previous "Music From The Soundtrack" release from 2018-2019, which had sound effects from the TV show mixed in with the music. This new 2022 record is just the music, without any sound effects, in much higher fidelity, along with previously-unreleased alternate takes.
I am the original owner of this record, which is in like-new condition. It has been washed in a Spin-Clean and played exactly two times. There are no marks on either side of the record and it plays through without skipping. It does, however, contain a pressing defect on side 2 which produces repetitive clicks during the last two tracks, until the end of the record. This seems to be a common issue with this pressing.
As shown in the photos, the labels both have a little bit of edge wear, which was present from the factory. The jacket is like new, free of damage and still in its original shrink wrap. The included liner notes insert is also like new. See photos for details. From a smoke-free home.
