Victrola Victor "His Master's Voice" Album Set A-H (8) w/ Index Book and 78's

These came out of the side cabinets of a Victrola VV8-12.

This is a set of eight albums, A to H, in sequential order, records, and an index book.  On the front of each book is the dog logo with the words “His Master’s Voice” beneath.  Albums A and B are large to fit 12” records while the other 6 are smaller for 10” records.  They are mostly in really good shape.  The mottled, (faux?) leather covering has some rub spots and show an overall wear to them.  The spines on most books are sturdy, but there is some moderate splitting on “A, E, and H.”  This mainly shows when the books are handled, not so much when they are on the shelf.  Each book has twelve sleeves and each are numbered.  On the front cover of each book there is an index, which is unwritten on in all books.  Included is a matching 8 ½” by 7” inch “Index of Victor Records” which has 22 empty lined pages, and 4 pages with handwriting on them.  The pages are held in with a string binding that can be loosened to insert more pages.  The book is hard covered and in good shape except for some damage to the front cover which can be seen in the photos.  There is a 78 rpm record in each sleeve.  They of various labels, artists, and genres.  All are 10” except for one 12” record.  I am no expert in the judging of records, nor have I looked at every record, but overall they seem okay with some wear, dust and some mostly light scratching.  Some are better and some aren't very good at all.  I can’t make any promises to the quality of any of them, but I have listened to a few and they sounded pretty good.  The labels included are Romeo, Victor, Columbia, Decca, Singspiration, Tops, Bluebird, Victrola, Capital Criterion, King, Velvet Tone, and Brunswick.  Some of the artists are Bud Roman, Ralph Bingham, Morton Downey, Johnny Marvin, Gene Austin, Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, Harry McClintock, George LeMaire and Rex Van, Amos and Andy, Moran and Mack, several orchestras, symphonies, quartets and such, and quite a few other names.  As I said, some of these look sort of worn and dusty and a little scratched, but I’m not sure if they can be cleaned up.  In fact, I know nothing at all about the care or judging of 78 records.  Also included are nine floppy “Hit of the Week” records also in varying grades of wear and they all have a moderate bow to them.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I’ll try to do my best to answer them.

I’m going to sell the whole thing as a set, so if you want one thing, you have to buy the whole caboodle.  However, if you’re only interested in certain things, I will ship just that and reduce the shipping accordingly.  If you are interested in just the albums, you can figure shipping a box 14"x18"x16" that weighs 19lbs from zip code 24401.  Otherwise, I apologize for the high shipping, but everything together is so heavy.  I am also completely open to any alternative methods of shipping, just contact me and we can work something out.  Thanks for looking.
