Description

I have been collecting vinyl since a kid in the 70s and have funk, soul, punk, reggae, metal, blues and more, but the time has come for a major downsize in my collection, currently around 3000. I plan to upgrade my favorite titles if and when they become available and pursue my current interest in obscure British folk.

I'm offering this copy of one of my all time favorite records - Grand Funk - with their second album originally released in 1969. The 2012 Rare Record Collectors Guide lists this release at £35 in mint condition. I have seen less than perfect copies go for over twice that amount and Popsike lists the mean average at £57. Quite collectible!

Capitol E-ST 406

Matrix side 1 = EKSA 01 406 - H4

Matrix side 2 = ESKA 02 406 - H4

Vinyl has been professionally washed:

Play Grade = Excellent there is soft crackle in the quiet sections and some pops are present on the B side. The overall dynamics and high detail are still very good.

Played with Jico SAS stylus.

Visual grade based on the Goldmine grading guide:

Sleeve = (VG) in reality this means numerous minor faults such as  scratches, ring wear, squashed spine which has lost the text and a 2/3 top seam split, also evidence of old Cellotape remains along bottom edge (though the bottom edge is not split?)

Inner sleeve = (VG)

Vinyl side 1 = (VG) Some light scratches in bright natural light with rather more whisper scratches and scuffs under critical lighting.

Vinyl side 2 = (VG) similar to side 1.

Vinyl will be sent in a new paper sleeve and not placed inside the original cover to prevent possible further damage. Original sleeve will be found inside as standard. A new thick polythene outer cover is also fitted.

I'm listing the album for five days only and won't be automatically re-listing next week so if you fancy something rare, funky and collectible you'll have to act fast.

Good luck.
