Rare, very early recording of radio broadcast. . . recording of early live program "Record of Broadcasting - General Motors Family Party" November 7, 1927 - mx. CVE-40443-1 12-inch, one-sided 78rpm Victor pressing, "Victor" logo on blank reverse. Performance is an unidentified male and female duet, singing with orchestra "The Moon And June And You" Well recorded - Network or Station not identified. Any off-air recording, via direct land line or otherwise, is exceptionally rare from this period. . . (with the exception of the Lindbergh recordings, I don't recall seeing any records of other 1927 live off-air radio recordings in 45+ years of collecting) A very early item for addition to any radio recording collection. . . Condition is Excellent, and was well recorded and plays fine. Label has some damage (see photo) and surface is slightly grainy. Recording starts at the very edge of the record, with no "lead-in" area at all. Slight weight - a coin on the tone arm - possibly needed at very beginning.
