Dead Soul is a very rare double LP released in 1985 by Nice Price (1001) of Joy Division live recordings at Russel Club, Manchester, July 13 1979 (Disc 1), and The Prince of Wales Conference Centre, YMCA, London, August 2 1979 (Disc 2).
Pressed in eye-catching clear vinyl, these discs are in near-mint condition, and are identified as part of this first/only pressing by the plain, white-paper labels and by the matrix/runout wax stamps between the grooves and labels which read:
Side A: JX A Side B: JX B Side C: JD ZY A Side D: JD ZY B
There are some flecks of darker vinyl inside the vinyl body of Disc 1 (see last two photos), but these are below the surface, which is free of apparent abrasions and/or scratches. Disc 2 seems not to have any of these, or none that are easily visible.
The cardboard sleeve has a few slight creases, dents, scuffs and shelf-wear consistent with age, but is in Very-Good-Plus (VG+) condition overall (see photos).
