Very Rare David Bowie 1st Press NO GEM LOGO Hunky Dory LP.


This original and very very rare 1st press of the David Bowie LP “Hunky Dory” comes in the original front laminated sleeve with the more green tinged artwork background. The rear of the sleeve omits the GEM logo from the top right corner marking this out as a very rare it’s issue. The sleeve is a strong VG+ condition with some minor edge/storage wear.

The record itself is VG only with quite a lot of light scuffs and marks. There are no skips, jumps or clicks but there is background crackle in places which is more noticeable in some of the quieter passages and on the run ins. It’s certainly not too bad in the main and is still an enjoyable record to listen too. It has the matrix endings 3T/3T and Bobil/Rasputin hand etched in the runouts.

Item will be carefully packaged with stiffeners and strong cardboard cruciform sleeve, and the record removed from outer sleeve, etc, before shipping.
