Description
Extremely Rare Punk find!! This is the first release by Red Kross (1980), at the time called Red Cross (before being sued). This is a killer early snotty Punk EP by the brothers McDonald from the early California Punk scene. These guys were sooo young when they recorded this. Tight yet primitive songs with charmingly funny lyrics full of the brothers' pop culture obsessions. Greg Hetson left to join the Circle Jerks and later, Bad Religion and Ron Reyes (Chavo!) on drums (!!) left for Black Flag. This is an original Posh Boy Records release. A TRUE PIECE OF CALIFORNIA PUNK HISTORY. Everyone from Sonic Youth to Black Flag talk about how awesome these guys were. The song "Annettes Got The Hits" sounds like early Nirvana took this song alone as their blueprint. In all my years of record collecting I've never seen another one of these before.
Songs include: Cover Band, I hate My School, Annette's Got The Hits, Clorox Girls, S&M Party and Standing In Front Of Poseur.
Condition:
Cover has some ring wear, shelving marks and a minor crease on lower left hand corner. Back Cover has half of a small record store sticker on top left corner. Spine and edges are intact but have marks. Vinyl is still very glossy. Has some light scuffs, no skips or major damage. Very nice and loud sounding (45 rpm, 12inch) record. FYI The Pic has a Flash Glare (sorry).
