Description
Released by Verve in 1967, cat # VS 557; this is “Big Leg Emma” / “Why Don’t You Do Me Right” by the Mothers Of Invention.
This record has come direct from an amazing collection of a bona fide 60’s DJ who cut his teeth in the ballrooms before moving onto radio and production. He was a northern soul DJ first and foremost and naturally psych passed him by. Hence, the psych/freakbeat 45’s from his collection are in mint/unplayed condition!
This is a demo copy. The labels are poorly applied and have air bubbles in the centre. Looking at other Verve demo’s it seems to be pretty usual for the labels to look a bit shoddy! The release date of the 22nd September 1967 is printed on the centre of the label.
I cannot detect any spindle marks on either label. The vinyl is unmarked. The record grades as MINT, possibly UNPLAYED and comes in the correct plain white sleeve.
Postage and packing will be £5.50 for UK customers by Special Delivery. European customers will pay £8.17 for International Signed For service and USA and the Rest of the World customers will pay £8.85 for International Signed For service. Payment by Paypal is preferred for all destinations though traditional payments from UK customers are most welcome.
