Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

PRESENTABLE POSTER COVER ~ PLAYS CLEAN
After inspection determined this item, while rare and off the path is an exact pressing, having kept aside 30+ years. Includes the large fold-out poster cover and pressed with 'Vertigo' swirl labels, sound quality is bright and deep, having no audio surface interference.
Very pastoral, melodic folkrock with mostly guitar amid solid bass and drums and other arrangement enhancements. The female/male vocal harmonies present rival any of the classic folk-rock albums heard to date. "It All Comes Back to Me" is an infectious melody, solid female vocals supported by guitar and flute, which produces an exemplary example of pastoral British folk-rock. "Would You Believe?" has a similar sound that alternates between a slower yet more uptempo sound. The lyrics on "Help Me Find Myself" are very well done as are the vocal harmonies on this tune and all the others.

  1. "The Lady's Changing Home" is a noticeable highlight with great psychedelic fuzz guitar injected.

  3.
Magical mesmerizing electrified folk psych gem from England 1971 --and  of the greatest in the style up there with Mellow Candle, Carol Of Harvest, Spriguns Of Tolgus and the like, upper crust.

This UK hippie trio is backed by a heavyweight band of folk legends (the redoubtable rhythm section of Danny Thompson and Terry Cox from Pentangle, included), Tudor Lodge were unashamedly pastoral — their music is the sound of a summer’s day in centuries past, where “grey-backed squirrels run to safety” (“Forest”), ladies “disappear into the sunset, shrouded in melody and wine” (“Willow Tree”), and even bloody battlefields become a place for quiet contemplation (“Help Me Find Myself”). All the while, clarinets twinkle, violins sigh, and cellos call to one another across the verdant fields. Recorded in a mere two weeks in early 1971, Tudor Lodge is very much a child of its times — hopeful, gentle, and so delicately melodic that, even with harmonies hurtling like asteroids across “I See a Man,” there is a Spartan simplicity to the record that surely exacted a major toll on the latter-day likes of Belle & Sebastian — a comparison that the almost raunchy guitar and psych-soaked wah-wah of “The Lady’s Changing Home” only amplifies
