The Beatles "Introducing The Beatles"
This is a US vinyl pressing on Vee-Jay Records VJLP 1062 from 1964. This was their first album. It is called Version One, because it plays the original 12 songs, which included "Love Me Do" and P. S. I Love You". The back cover and the labels list "Love Me Do" and P.S. I Love You" and the record plays those songs.
The back cover has the songs on two columns. On the front cover you can see George's shadow on the right. There is printing on the spine. Inside the cover there are 1/4 inch folds at the top and at the bottom. The labels are black with a rainbow colorband and the Vee-Jay oval logo. The printing is silver with 'Long Play' and 'Microgroove" in upper and lower case letters. The album title and 'The Beatles' are above the spindle hole. It has a wide pressing ring, that is 2 3/4 inches wide. The distance between the edge of the label and where the music ends is exactly 1 inch.
The matrix runouts on Side 1 are : stamped : URJ and AudioMatrix and etched : 63-3402 and an upsidedown 'A' and on Side 2 : stamped : URJ and AudioMatrix and etched : 63-3403 and an upsidedown 'A'. In the Perry Cox and Frank Daniels Beatles Price Guide this is : VJ 1062(1) MR1A.
