Velvet Underground & Nico LP - UK 1st -Verve Non-Banana
Very rare 1967 release of the debut Velvets album without the iconic Banana sleeve. The record and sleeve were both made in the UK, the sleeve is front laminated with flipbacks and it's marked mono like the record.The vinyl is Excellent, it's little played and has a good shine. It sounds great - taking the quality of the original recording into consideration! It sounded colder than I remember but I grew up listening to the '80s mid-price stereo reissue!
The sleeve is VG+. There's some light laminate cracking on the front and minor corner rounding. The spine is great and the back is fine too. For a 1967 record it's great.

Like many of the records I'm selling today this came from the large collection of a busy man now aged 61. Due to the size of his collection many of the LPs were only played once or twice from new - some were never played and they were all properly looked after. His musical taste was towards the avant garde/free end of the jazz spectrum as well as being a fan of prog, psych and experimental music. I will be selling selected records from his collection over the next few years so please add me to your favourites list!
