Description
The Velvet Underground “Live At Max’s Kansas City” LP. Immaculate U.S. rare MONO first Pressing with original inner sleeve. UNPLAYED, in shrink. 1972 Cotillon Records SD 9500. Made in the United States. Out of print.
Amazing, “Time-capsule” condition copy of this rare, first mono pressing on Cotillon Records. It looks like it was just brought home fresh from the store in 1972, 50 years ago, and just sat on the shelf after all these years.
The vinyl remains unbelievably unplayed after all these years. Deep, rich, silky factory fresh gloss. If I tilt the vinyl at an angle against direct sunlight, I can detect some lite wispy line marks and an extremely faint, ultra-thin hazy blemish line (not a scratch or scuff) that is very difficult to see. See pics.
The LP sleeve is still covered in the original shrink wrap except for the side portion. No seam-splits, rips, or tears to the cover underneath the shrink wrap. Anything that looks like a mark or scuff is on the shrink wrap and not on the actual cover itself. Corners have sharp 90 degree angles. It’s just an all around perfect sleeve.
The original inner sleeve has no seam-splits. Some typical wrinkling and slight, very small tears along the opening edge. See pics.
