Description
Verve V-5008. Mono. 1967 issue. Here's the bad news: There's a feelable scratch that pretty much takes out the first minute and a half of "Heroin". The rest of the LP plays VG. "Femme Fatale" is noisy and there's static in the dead wax. Cover is VG. Lots of rubbing and spotting. The Banana is intact, but it looks like there's a small tear (repaired) near the top that causes slight discoloration The second scan above shows the back cover upside down, so the Emerson torso is more visible. No splits, no writing, no cut-out holes. The spine is in great shape.
The sound sample picks up after the beginning of "Heroin" and shows the worst damage from the scratch, then proceeds through samples from "There She Goes Again", and "I'll Be Your Mirror". Even though the scratch extends through these two tracks, they don't seem affected. Then we have "Femme Fatale" from Side One and "Run Run Run", where you can hear how the volume increases about a minute into the track.
