Various - Rhythm & Blues.
Original UK LP Issued in 1964 by Decca Records (LK.4616).
This Rare test Pressing of Decca's R&B comp was recently obtained by us from an ex Decca Employee. He told us that this LP was very rare as it was the only surviving copy.
When the LP was originally released it featured two tracks by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers however at the test pressing stage these tracks were not included, instead there are two tracks by unknown artists.
On Side one is a Version of Sonny Boy Williamson's - Help Me, but we can't find any details of anyone recording a version of this at this time for Decca so it remains a mystery as to who is performing it.
The track on Side 2 is a version of The Cadillacs - Right Kinda Lovin' the band performing it sound very much like The Artwoods but again we can't be sure and there is no evidence that they ever recorded this track.
Side 1 matrix number = ARL -6327-1A
Side 2 matrix number = ARL -6328-1A
We have attached both the mystery tracks to this listing, if anyone can help identify the artists please let us know !!
In VG Condition (has light surface marks).
