THIS 1970 45 CERTAINLY MUST STAND AS ONE OF THE MOST ARTISTICALLY UNCOMPROMISING 45'S EVER TO HAVE BEEN RELEASED ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, MUCH LESS IN JAPAN!

IT CERTAINLY RANKS AMONGST THE RAREST OF ALL VAN MORRISON WORLDWIDE RELEASES, IF IT WERE TO HAVE SOLD IN THE HIGH SINGLE FIGURES THAT FACT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME. THIS RELEASE IS NOTHING LESS THAN A HEAD SCRATCHER OF THE FIRST ORDER, NOTHING I COULD POSSIBLY WRITE COULD SERVE TO EMBELLISH THIS SIMPLE FACT.

FOLLOWS PARTICULARS OF THIS COPY OF WHAT MUST BE ONE OF THE MOST OBSCURE VAN 45'S EVER TO HAVE BEEN RELEASED. IF IN FACT IT WAS, THIS WLP IS THE ONLY COPY I'VE EVER SEEN , OR HEARD OF. IT CAME FROM THE PERSONAL COLLECTION OF A JAPANESE REVIEWER THIRTY YEARS AGO, I'VE NEVER SEEN A STOCK COPY.

The front of the sleeve is VG+, with a slight bit of crinkling around the perimeter, other than this minor fault the sleeve is quite clean & unmarked.

The vinyl warrants a grading of VG++, there is essentially NO evidence of play revealed by a close appraisal both sides of the disc. I suspect some would grade it closer to Mint. I prefer to grade a bit more conservatively. There are NO SCRATCHES of any kind, it is an extremely nice condition condition vinyl, which plays superbly, with extraordinary warmth & detail. A not insignificant consideration, especially with two tunes as sublime as these are.

The labels are bright & clean with just a bit of tape residue on the Young Lovers side. See the photo's for evidence of this.

This is an excellent condition copy of an extremely rare Van Morrison picture sleeve 45 , who's to say when or if a cleaner copy may be showing up?
