Originally released in 1993, the seventh full-length from Canadian prog-metal legends Voivod would be the last to feature vocalist Denis Belanger until his rejoining in 2002. Boasting their lengthiest piece to date in the form of 17-minute juggernaut 'Jack Luminous', as well as a criminally underrated rendition of Pink Floyd's 'The Nile Song', The Outer Limits showcased the band reaching for the expansion that its title suggests, while serving as an exceptional and much adored follow up to the acclaimed yet commercial flop that was Angel Rat.
