WOW, THIS VINTAGE JAZZ LP WILL MAKE A GREAT HOLIDAY GIFT TO ON WHO ENJOYS LISTENING TO VINTAGE JAZZ ON VINYL and/or COLLECTING VINTAGE VINYL LPs !
This is an early Capitol Black Label vinyl MONO LP entitled " After Midnight " by Nat King Cole and His Trio. The Trio consists of John Collins (guitar), Charlie Harris (bass) and Leonidas Young (drums). On Caravan and Lonely One, Jack Costanzo sits in on bongos. The following four guest soloists Willie Smith (alto sax), Harry Edison (trumpet), Stuff Smith (jazz violin) and Juan Tizol (trombone) each perform on three selections.
Twelve (12) tracks in all. This rare vintage LP was recorded in August and September, 1957 in Hollywood.
CONDITION of VINYL: The shiny vinyl shows one non-feelable light scratch on Side 1. Side 2 does not show any scratches. There is some occasional light surface noise detectable at times but not overpowering (vinyl has not bee cleaned on high-end machine). The original Capital High Fidelity inner sleeve (protective envelope) is included (has approximate 3" slits on each edge). We rate the condition as a solid Very GoodPlus (VG+) using Goldmine standards.
CONDITION of JACKET: The jacket (outer sleeve) has a 5.5" seam split at upper seam beginning where record is inserted. There are also a 2.5" and 3" separate seam splits on bottom seam (opening edge and middle). Side seam is intact and fully legible. The back cover has a prior owner name (Jack) written in green ink in upper left margin (see photo). The front cover on upper white margin also has the name in green ink that did not fully erase out. The front cover reflects some light ring wear from past storage but would make a fine candidate to frame if one is so inclined. We rate this jacket only as Very Good (VG) to to conditions mentioned herein. A new poly slip-on outer sleeve is included to help protect this 60 year-old gem for many years to come.

The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated from jacket during shipment to help guard against seam damage to the outer jacket.
