AMAZINGLY WELL PRESERVED LEGENDARY HEXAGON-SHAPED ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK VINYL LP TO THE 1971 SCI-FI MOVIE CLASSIC, "THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN" (KAPP RECORDS-STEREO, KRS-5513) CHILLING MUSIC BY COMPOSER GIL MELLE. ALUMINUM MIRROR-FINISH COVER WITH SLOTTED FLAPS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. VINYL LP NEAR-MINT, RECORD LOOKS UNPLAYED. 

HISTORIC NOTE: THIS 1971 6-SIDED LP HAS TAKEN ON LEGENDARY STATUS, AS ITS WEIRD CONFIGURATION PROVED DANGEROUS FOR TURNTABLE PLAY,  REGULARLY DESTROYING ANY NUMBER OF TURNTABLE NEEDLES, STYLUSES, AND EVEN THE RECORD ITSELF. EVENTUALLY, A WARNING STICKER WAS ISSUED & APPLIED TO THE RECORD'S PROTECTIVE PLASTIC COVER,  ALERTING CONSUMERS TO TAKE GREAT CARE IN PLAYING THE LP: "DUE TO THE UNUSUAL SHAPE OF THIS RECORD, USE MANUAL CONTROL ON RECORD PLAYERS. NEEDLE DAMAGE WILL RESULT."
AS A FURTHER RESULT OF THIS PHENOMENON, THE NUMBER OF LPs IN NEAR-MINT CONDITION IS GREATLY LIMITED. INDEED, THE NEAR-MINT LP OFFERED HERE RETAINS THAT OMINOUS WARNING STICKER, GREATLY ADDING TO ITS COLLECTIBLE VALUE.
