Released in 1985 on the 40th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
One of the best collections available anywhere of contemporary reports reacting to and describing the horrors and relief leading up to and beyond VE Day – 8 May 1945.
Condition VINYL: EX. Looks very clean on visual inspection. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is superb throughout. Archival sound on all cues therefore there are sound limitations due to the nature of the original recordings. Stored responsibly since purchase. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. A decent listening experience to an historic compilation. OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: EX. Colours are clear and unfaded. Glossy front and back. Some dents, nicks, creases and a few other light marks to front, mainly on right side. Reverse shows one or two light nicks. Minor corner wear in places. Edges, spine and aperture are clean and show little to no damage. Some light veinlike creases in from edges and aperture. A fine example overall. INNER SLEEVE: EX. Original. White paper with plastic lining and curved aperture corners, central hole. Clean with a few minor creases/folds though normal handling.
