About This Record. Here's another cool outrageously rare slab of vinyl from my collection. This is the Doors seven (7) inch single featuring Break on Through b/w End of the Night on USA Elektra Records EK-45600 with the ultimate holy grail picture sleeve in NICE super strong VG condition (no seam splits or spine splits, just lots of noticeable creases and light bends). This is extraordinarily rare and comes with the complete original package, including the 3rd pressing (label) of the 45rpm that came with this PS that was released a few years after it debuted. This never came out on the Elektra "spokes" label or the earlier gargoyle "head" label. The PS for some reason was only released later, perhaps when they were trying to increase records sales, but they did not release many of these PS. This really is a Holy Grail. Sorry for my reserve, but I have had too many records sell for a seriously lot less than I bought them for, and this is not one . . . so I have a reserve about 66% of what I paid decades ago. I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA and most foreign buyers who contact me with questions beforehand) in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase. Comes hand-cleaned on my VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning machine (hate those automated 17's) and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And at least one plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me).
Cover Condition: Very Good (VG) RARE PS! No seam splits or spine splits, but VERY obvious creases and bends in the PS. Side B has a small "X" in blue pen on it. Still, pretty much impossible to upgrade or even find in the next few decades of your life. Please See all the Photos I took. I didn't take them for fun and frolic.
Vinyl Condition: Looks Excellent (EX)/better , plays with a few pops, so Excellent Minus (EX- grading). Nice Copy!
Labels. Near Mint (NM)/ Good (G) labels. One side has a giant tear from a price sticker or something; no, this was not my fault; it was like this when I purchased it. Yes, this is the original label for this pressing with the PS, even though it came a few years after the gargoyle head, and the spokes label variations released on the tan Elektra label. Please see photos of all labels)
Inserts: Comes, no worries, this also comes hand-cleaned on my VPI Record Cleaning Machine.
Packaging. I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original. I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least one insert stiffener, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
