About This Record. This is an original first pressing copy of of the Beatles “Yesterday and Today” “Butcher Cover” LP that features the paste over second state “Trunk” cover, covering the Beatles cutting up baby dolls. Released only in the USA in 1966 in this format. The black “V” of Ringo’s sweater is clearly seen under the cover slick towards the right of the opening edge. This is a West Coast #6 pressing (see back cover at lower right). Perfect for peeling, should you chose to do that; but so many have been peeled that I would recommend not doing that.
The Side One label has some “bubbling” at the top but otherwise is NICE
The Side Two label is pretty perfect with no spindle wear, no writing, no tears
Side One Matrix: T-1-2553 F-21; Side Two Matrix: T-2-2553-G-22
Please see the details below about the cover, vinyl, labels and everything else you might want to know.
PLEASE CHECK my Feedback which will show you my grading, Cover/Vinyl, of other 45rpms and LPs I have recently sold graded cover/record VG+/EX- (or whatever) and what the lucky people who bought them think of them and our experience. The photos of the labels or cover list the songs and any possible details about the labels.
I offer full refund including shipping both ways for USA buyers in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase). Comes cleaned on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaner and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And at least one plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me).
Cover Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+) cover. Very Good Plus (VG+). Not EX, but still nice, and a prime candidate for peeling should you want to do that. The cover has light ring wear on the opening edge on the right, a small ½ tear at opening edge top right, a smallone inch tear in the top seam, middle right, and a small corner crink in the bottom right corner, and slight larger corner crink top left. One inch bottom seam split at opening edge.
Please SEE all my photos; I did not take them for fun and frolic and they could answer any question you have.
Vinyl Condition: Excellent Minus (EX-) Keeper vinyl; just a few light wispy marks. See above for matrix numbers. No worries, this LP comes cleaned on my KLA Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine (like I always do).
Labels. Near Mint (NM) labels on one side, but other side has some bubbling at the top. Please look at my photos in case I missed something.
Inserts: Comes with original orange Capitol Records inner sleeve that features other contemporary artists from 1966 with a few tears and bends, and no worries, the vinyl also comes cleaned in new rice paper-type inner sleeve.
Packaging. I clean all vinyl on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original. I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve from the cover after cleaning, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack in an MLP-1 oversize box with corner protectors, or a regular NICE cardboard box with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
Shipping and Payment. PayPal only. I ship promptly worldwide; sometimes the automatic eBay invoice does not have accurate shipping if you buy more than one LP, so if you are unsure email me and ask for an invoice. . . . I offer full refund on this record to USA buyers including shipping both ways. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: Please add sales tax!
