Description
This LP is at the pinnacle of Chicago blues recordings from the 1960s. I bought it new in 1967 from a small R&B record shop on the north side of St. Louis.
Where else will you find a great album cut by (arguably) the three leading and most impressive Chicago Blues musicians active at that time. Not just that, but with great tunes like Spoonful, Diddley Daddy, the Red Rooster, and Goin' Down Slow.
Such different styles they had--Howlin' Wolf with his one-of-a-kind powerhouse voice and suggestive lyrics, Muddy Waters with his smooth and happier singing voice, and Bo Diddley with his boldly unique guitar/vocal sounds and rhythms.
I'm selling my entire collection of 700-some LPs mostly dating from the 1960s and 1970s. I'd sure like to find a good home for this one in particular.
