VERY RARE KLF GRIM UP NORTH ORIGINAL PROMO DANCE MIX 1990 RAVE 12” TECHNO VINYL.
Right if you know what this is then you will know that this is a highly sought after record , I’ve owned this a long long time now when I bought it from a dj back in 91/92 it was sadly covered in graffiti done in black permanent marker pen , as seen in my pictures ,a few years ago I had it professionally cleaned off but as you can see they couldn’t get it all out , this is a single sided promo the smooth side (no music on) has the worst of the graffiti luckily enough !! They got most of it out but said if they continued to try the rest it would damage the vinyl so I left it as it is seen now , the playable side still has very faint marks of the pen but majority is off see pictures!! , now the record itself ,, it plays very very well considering the cleaning it has had , the start has very light pops and crackles up till the thunder sound comes in then it has a slight skip nothing major then it plays very nice , the classic vocal where the guy mentions northern towns and cities is fab and plays superb !! Quieter bits play throughout with minor pops again but honestly nothing bad at all really , It’s been played a few times but not many as I’ve treasured it as it’s a quality and rare piece of rave and dance music history!!
